When someone takes on the role of F&I manager what do you believe is the one trait most important for them to have in order to succeed?

Attention to detail. Not just in paperwork but adhering to the customers needs. How long they plan on keeping the vehicle, what they use it for (a ton of ride share customers these days) and how they intend to protect their investment. They also need to have attention to detail with compliance. Our industry is heavily regulated and the finance office can easily get a dealership shut down if they aren't properly trained or monitored.
